Approximately 80 miles from downtown Austin, Cedar Point Recreation Area resides on the south shore of Lake Buchanan with over 3.5 miles of shoreline. Lake Buchanan is one of the six Highland Lakes designed to manage floodwaters along the lower Colorado River. These lakes also offer opportunity for boating, fishing, swimming and relaxing.
